We had a big birthday this week at our house! Anthony turned one year old.
As parents, Mike and I are always learning new things. Here are some of the lessons we’ve learned this week:
1. Two-year-olds have difficulty accepting that the party and gifts are not for them. (Alex was very “helpful.”)
2. Assemble the present before giving it to your children or you will get more help than you would like.
3. Birthdays are exhausting.
We had a fun party for Anthony with lots of friends. Monkeys were the theme, so Misty helped me make monkey cupcakes.
Here are a few other pics from the party.

Joel graciously obliged to assemble a couple of the gifts. Once he started, he was like the pied piper.
