Summer days

I can’t believe that summer is already half over… it seems like it has just started!  We’ve been trying to pack in as much as possible into our weekends.  Here is a brief overview of what we’ve been up to.

We attended a going-away picnic for our friends Rob & Kristi, who are moving to Montana.  It was the windiest picnic we’ve ever attended, but Alex didn’t seem to mind.  He loved the playground equipment.

July 2009 009 Thanks to Grandma Leann, Alex has a new playhouse in the backyard.  He loves it, even if it doesn’t look like it in the photo.

July 2009 089 Even moms and dads can fit into it…

July 2009 078 For the 4th of July, we spent the afternoon at the Chahinkapa Zoo in Wahpeton.  Alex was pretty disinterested until we got to the petting zoo.  He couldn’t get enough and would keep running back to it every time we dragged him out of it.

July 2009 102 After the zoo, we went over to Jen & Joel’s for a bbq.  Mike might have had more fun with the bubbles than the kids did.

July 2009 113 Last week, we went down to the Cities and spent a few days with James and Misty.  Jacob is a month old, so Alex got a bit of a preview of what life will be like here in a few months.  Here are the proud papas and the little ones.

Alex went to his first Yankees game, or first Twins game, depending on who you ask.  He was amazingly good, even if he was more interested in eating potato chips than watching the game.  And he was really cute in his Yankees gear.

Alex has been getting a lot better about not eating dirt.  Mike even taught him to smell the flowers instead.

July 2009 190 July 2009 242 We also had my 20-week ultrasound last week.  Everything looks good and we will be having another baby boy around Nov 22 or 23!  I will post some ultrasound pics if I can figure out how to get our scanner to work :)

His hair is getting more blondish, probably from the sun. Very cute.

really nice blog, Alex is sure growing up fast (didn't Angie eat dirt too!?) He has such big eyes, always looks very excited about things. Thanks for blogging, keep it up, I don't check real often but it's fun to catch up.
I don't think I've congratulated you yet either, on expecting another?? Very Exciting...
